Types of Value
- Achromatic value: absence of color. Black and white only.
- Chromatic Value
Chromatic value: values of an object demonstrated by color. - Highlight:: spot on an object receiving strongest amount of direct light.
- Shadow, Shade, Shading:: a dark value on an image or surface caused by the interruption of a light source.
- Cast shadow: a dark area occuring when that object is placed between that surface and the light source.
- Chiaroscuro: illusion created by gradual blending of light and shade on a two dimensional surface.
- Local Value
Local Value: the natural color of an object in daylight.
Value and Emotions Value can create an emotional reaction.
